ClassAction ClassAction is an exciting compilation of 5 professional singers who have sung with many different groups and bands. They bring a variety of sounds and styles together, proving the whole is definitely greater than the sum of its parts.

Their exciting and unusual a cappella arrangements put a new spin to familiar tunes, from jazz to pop, swing to Hebrew to gospel, doo-wop to rock! What keeps their sound interesting is that everyone takes turns with the leads, which changes the voicings, making a different sound with each song.

ClassAction is made up of Bobbie Ruth, the lone female in the group and four of her favorite male singers: Artie Gross, bass and arranger; John Costello, tenor; Jay Ortsman, baritone; Joe Mankowski, second tenor.

The group has been together since 2001 and has performed for United Group Harmony shows, Malloy College Shows, the 2003 & 2004 Grace Church Festival, the 2004 & 2005 St. Teresa Festival and numerous outdoor concerts, clubs and private parties.

They have done numerous charity performances over the years, nursing homes in the New York area, as well as many libraries in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
